Bottlerocket, a Linux-based operating system designed to run container workloads is now available in AWS GovCloud (US) Regions.
Bottlerocket focuses on improving the security posture of container hosts. It reduces exposure to vulnerabilities on hosts by including only the essential software required to run containers. Updates to Bottlerocket hosts are atomic. This brings consistency and further simplifies updates for container hosts.
Bottlerocket is an open source distribution, available at no additional cost, and is fully supported by AWS. Please refer to our guides for EKS and ECS to get started using Bottlerocket in AWS GovCloud (US) regions.
